Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains how Rilld collects and uses information when you use the Rilld website and analytics service. Rilld provides website owners with reports about visitor journeys, page views, clicks, and scroll activity.

Information we collect about account holders

When you create or use a Rilld account, we may process your name, email address, password credential (stored as a password hash), account and sign-in details, sites you configure, plan and page-view allowance, and service preferences. If you sign in with Google, Google provides the account information permitted by the sign-in flow, such as your email address and profile name.

Information collected by the Rilld tracker

When a site owner installs the Rilld tracking script, the script sends analytics events from that site to Rilld. Depending on how visitors use the site, those events can include:

The tracker does not read or send what a visitor types into form fields. It does send the visible label of a clicked control, which a site owner should avoid populating with sensitive personal information. Rilld does not collect full page contents or full URLs with query strings as analytics events.

Rilld uses a request’s IP address, or a country code supplied by the hosting network, to derive a country-level location for analytics. The analytics records store the country code rather than the IP address. Our hosting and security infrastructure may process connection information, including IP addresses, in its operational logs.

How we use information

Rilld does not use tracked visitor events to build advertising profiles or to serve ads.

Payments and service providers

Stripe processes subscription payments and billing interactions. Rilld receives and stores identifiers and subscription details needed to associate a Stripe subscription with your account and provide the selected plan; payment card details are handled by Stripe. Google processes Google sign-in under its own terms and privacy policy. These providers process information under their own privacy notices and, where applicable, their agreements with Rilld.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to provide the service, protect users or Rilld, comply with law, or handle a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

Customer websites and visitor privacy

If you install Rilld on a website you operate, you decide what sites and pages to track and are responsible for providing visitors with any notices and choices required by applicable law. This includes explaining the use of analytics identifiers and obtaining consent where required. Do not configure Rilld to collect sensitive information or information you are not authorized to process.

For visitor analytics data, the site owner generally controls the purposes of collection and should be the first contact for a visitor’s request about that site. Rilld provides the analytics service to the site owner and may process that data on the owner’s instructions.

Cookies, local storage, and choices

Rilld uses browser storage for account sessions and the tracker’s random visitor identifier. The identifier is stored in local storage on the visitor’s browser for the tracked website. Visitors can remove it by clearing that site’s local storage or browser data, or can block storage in browser settings; doing so may affect analytics continuity. The Rilld account experience may not function correctly if session cookies are blocked.

Retention and security

Rilld retains account and analytics information while needed to operate the service and meet legitimate operational or legal needs. Site owners can delete a tracked site and its associated analytics records from their account. Rilld does not currently publish a fixed automatic deletion period for all records. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can update account details in account preferences, manage a subscription through the billing controls, and delete a tracked site from its settings. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of account information. Requests concerning visitor data collected on a customer’s site should generally be directed to that site owner. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.

Children

Rilld is intended for business and website analytics use and is not directed to children. Account holders must not use Rilld to knowingly collect children’s personal information in violation of applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as Rilld changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how account information is used, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel where required.
